I wanted to try something new with suya spice. So I used ground meat. They can be made out of any type of ground meat. Sorry I only eat zabhiha, halal meat. You can use chicken, turkey like I did, beef, veal, lamb, beef, chicken or goat.
First I preheated my oven to 350 fahrenheit or 180 celsius.
I got out a large cookie sheet and some metal skewers and washed them off. I took a sheet of aluminum foil to make my clean up a lot easier and sprayed it with cooking spray.
I made my own suya spice mix. Here is the link, Suya Paste.
Or you can also buy your own if you want. My ground meat of choice which this time is turkey. I put 1 handful of rice flour for a binding agent.
I put it on the skewers and put it in the oven for 20 minutes. I turned it around and let it cook for 10 more minutes and it is delicious and also ready to enjoy. I also put suya spice on fish and on pieces of chicken, beef, lamb, goat, quail, fish, etc. I simply love it. Also you can use the same number of almonds cashews or pistachios as a substitute for peanuts. This is in case if you have a peanut allergy.
